Yes to "Yes Man"

On the go again to say yes to "Yes Man". Blair and I spent the day around friends and family crashing in an over sized living room of a good friend's home this afternoon cheering the CARDS on to victory but after stuffing our faces and engaging in aerobic activity due to spirited cheer we decided to head to the movies. What else would be appropriate in an overly masculine day but "Yes Man". "Yes Man" provided just the right amount of humor, life and love. This movie makes you want to live your best life and say Yes to life's adventure. I give this movie a 3.5 popcorn for humor, adventure, love and life.

Carl (Jim Carrey) was humorous playing a character who was disengaged with his life becoming nearly a hermit due to a past breakup and on the verge of losing what friends he had when he finds the power to say yes to anything and everything asked of him through a self help seminar. The power to say yes leads him on a path of self discovery and along the way life becomes better than he ever expected. He finds himself promoted, popular, playing guitar, speaking Korean, doing flying lessons, saving lives, jumping off bridges and best of all in love.

Allison (Zooey Deschanel) and Carl make a perfect couple as he is just beginning the skills of living and she has been living as a free spirit. Allison and Carl's adventure take them all over the city on a little scooter. I wonder why that sounds familiar? She is definitely a kindred spirit for me. Although this actress captured by attention long ago with the bird seen in "Failure to Launch," I must say she makes a great leading lady too. Until our we meet again.... keep your helmets on and your adventures strong.
XOXO
